ESRA (in association with CES and Safetech) is currently assisting the state power utility Electricidade de Moçambique (EDM) to develop and implement an integrated Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS) to manage, oversee, and report on the E&S performance of a growing number of projects in their portfolio. EDM has indicated that they intend to attain ISO 14001 and 45001 Standard certification, and as such the ESMS will cover also cover all the occupational health and safety aspects relevant to EDM’s power generation, transmission, and distribution units.
